Michelle's involvement in real estate began in 1986, with the Co-op conversion of 33 Greenwich Avenue. Michelle joined the building in February 1985 and by November 1986, the building officially converted to cooperative ownership. Michelle moved forward to become the Director of Sales at the Condo conversion at 250 East 65th Street as well as Director of Sales for the Co-op conversion at 161 West 16th Street Cooperatives, also known at the time as the Barney's Building. In addition to the Sale responsibilities, for the conversions, she designed the complete marketing plan, including model apartments, print marketing co as well as the exterior building signage. Further expanding her career, she exclusively marketed the sales and sublease of a New York developer.
In 1995, Michelle established the real estate firm, Barshay Brokerage RE Group with her husband Benjamin. Michelle, a seasoned New Yorker, lives in Manhattan and raised her family here.
In addition, Michelle is a professional stager and can transform your apartment creating a look ready for the market.
Michelle is a member of The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation. She is also is a docent at the Merchant House Museum. As well as involved in the organization: The Historic House Trust of NYC, Michelle is part of the Roof Raiser Curatorial Brigade.
